Based Hardware wants to hack your life with an AI ‘brain interface’

Based Hardware has announced its take on wearable AI. Omi is a small orb that can be worn as a neckless or stuck to you temple with medical tape (comfy!). The device isn’t meant to be a smartphone replacement but rather a companion that can do things like translate different languages in real time, tell you what you missed in class when you were flirting in French, send emails, summarize messages and group chats, and remind you who your grandchildren are.

The device will start shipping mid-2025 and cost $89 for the consumer version.
