Iana Dimkova

Co-Founder & General Partner, Initiate Ventures

Iana is the Co-founder and General Partner of Initiate Ventures, an early-stage firm investing in health tech and life sciences companies that use digital platforms and AI to drive scientific breakthroughs and improve healthcare. Previously, she spent four years at GE Ventures, a leading healthcare-focused fund, where she led investments in startups spanning AI/ML, genomics, clinical research, novel payor models, and care delivery innovation. Before joining GE Ventures, Iana was with ProCure Treatment Centers where she helped develop and operate the most extensive network of radiation (proton) therapy centers in the United States. During her tenure there, the company raised more than $700M in capital and secured strategic investments from large healthcare systems and independent physician groups. Iana has served on multiple private and not-for-profit boards and is a frequent speaker and panelist at leading industry events. She earned her MBA from Columbia University and received her bachelor’s degree, with honors, also from Columbia University.
